It costs 100 thousand Dread Bucks to fire this weapon, for 12 seconds.

—In-game description

Overview[]

The Minigun is a very powerful and heavy gun with 6 barrels and 600 bullets on it's magazine. Take a zombie, any zombie, and it will kill it within seconds.

Background[]

Straight from the jungles of 'nam, baby. Commonly used by soldiers during the Vietnam War, the M134 Minigun was a rare artifact following the outbreak of the Dreaded Virus and those with it were considered messiahs by many for their ability to assert dominance over any hierarchical system put in place.

It wasn't until after the reconstruction of the RPG-7 that survivors felt a new weapon had to be created. With scientists quickly travelling across the globe to scavenge as many resources as possible, a group of American mercenaries were more than happy to lend a hand if it meant they could turn a profit.

Soon, the M134 Minigun was reconstructed through various archival footage pieces given by American mercenaries as well as many old rusted models left behind pre-apocalypse. One thing to note is that due to its rushed production, the M134 Minigun's ammo count was rather low and it used a smaller caliber that barely did jack-all. It wasn't until months later when a mass recall was issued out and newer models with higher ammo counts and a slightly sharper caliber were shipped to luxurious elites all across the globe.

Tips[]

  • Holding Right Mouse Button or Q will wind up the Minigun for 1 second, allowing you to shoot by pressing the Fire button instantly.
  • You can hold Left Mouse Button for both windup and firing.
    • However, this way to fire the Minigun is basically useless, since you can't run and jump, even when the Minigun isn't winded up.
      • It is better to hold Right Mouse Button or Q because you will have no delay when firing if the wind up has finished.
  • Use the Minigun on camping purposes, since the loss on walkspeed and the ability to jump is unideal for roaming around.
    • If you're looking to camp even more, consider using the Titanium Plated Vest.
      • Since you're not going to other places much, the loss on walk speed the vest gives you won't give you much of a disadvantage.
    • Do not wear the Titanium Plated Vest with the Minigun if you're fighting Tsar Skelly II in Siege, or you're not going to camp much.
    • Stay near ammo boxes, and unequip the Minigun when ever you're not chased by zombies or need to run away from them quickly to gather some distance.
    • The AA-12, or the RPK is a better choice for roaming around while still having as about the same firepower as the Minigun.
  • If your Minigun has no ammo, quickly switch to your secondary or melee and try to find a ammo box as fast as possible and refill the Minigun with it.
  • You can shred Riot Zombie's shield in more than a second, so don't be afraid to shoot the Riot Zombie's shield.

Trivia[]

  • First heavy machine gun to be added.
  • The Minigun used to fire 3 pellets in one bullet.
    • This is due to optimization as having a 1800 RPM firerate would result in lag due to how fast it's firing.
      • Since Roblox is much faster now, the Minigun has been tweaked to fire 1 bullet with a firerate of 1800 RPM.
    • This technically made it a shotgun.
  • This is the first gun that both slows you down & removes your ability to jump when you are holding it.
  • In Shooting Range, this gun reloads itself without a reloading animation while taking 0.001 seconds to reload.
  • The first quote for the Minigun is a play on Left 4 Dead's No Mercy campaign poster with its tag line being "Curing the infection, one bullet at a time."
  • The current quote is based on the video Meet The Heavy from Team fortress 2 when the Heavy Weapons Guy introduces you to his gun, called "Sasha", with the quote: "It costs four hundred dollars to fire this weapon, for 12 seconds"
  • In the update 1.45, the ammunition has changed into 200>600, now it's 1 bullets windup, and now takes time to finish the ammunition.
  • The Minigun is based off the M134 Minigun
    • It's modified a little in-game, however
    • In real-life it costs around $210000-$250000 USD(?) to own
  • The Minigun has no shell ejection by default
